Grand Foyer Gallery

Three exhibitions currently occupy the display space at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre.

The main foyer has a a series of Whimsical Trees, done in gouache on paper by Marilyn Mazerolle.

The upper gallery has a photography exhibition by teRi Fullerton titled Its In Their Eyes, reflecting the interaction of children from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds at a summer camp run by the Multicultural Association of Fredericton.

Thethird show, in the stairway and landing galleries, is a continuation of the Katrina Recovery Quilt Project, a series of quilts by Solveig Wells inspired by the impact of Hurricane Katrina.
Wells incorporates fabrics that had been buried in sand and bleached by sea and sun in her evocative quilts, and stitches the stories of the Hurricane and its impact into her images.
All funds raised by the exhibition will benefit the Library Foundation of Hancock County in Mississippi.

A formal opening and reception with the artists will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m.
