Penny Ericson was presented with the 2006 Muriel McQueen Fergusson Foundation award on June 8 for her work combatting violence against women and families.
In the presentation at Old Government House, are Dr. David Besner, MMFF award committe chair, Colleen Boldon, MMFF president, Ericson and Therese Murray, MMFF executive director. In the background is a portrait of the late Muriel McQueen Fergusson whose leadership for women's rights sparked the foundation that bears her name.
The honour includes $1,000 to be given to the recipient's charity of choice. Penny donated hers to FAL.
